#RememberPedestrians
Posted onby
No one should die crossing the street. While pedestrian deaths in Milwaukee have decreased from 17 at this time last year to 11, Milwaukee is still overrepresented in pedestrian deaths, with 10% of the state population but 44% of the pedestrian fatalities, almost identical to the 45% of the total in 2017.
These preventable tragedies too often go unnoticed. Let’s remember these fallen pedestrians every day for 11 days with a memorial installation and community crosswalk education at the intersection where they were struck. Let us also remember pedestrians every day from now on, when we drive. Remember pedestrians and you might save a life.
Please join us at any of these events.
